Doctor Doctor

Our week in review - the Dr appointment version and then some!

Dr appointment #1 - 5 year check-up. 4 shots - 1 sad little girl but...
... After her check up we went to Chick Fil A, got a green balloon, a new book, flowers and a vanilla shake.
It's how we roll around here! She may just get a pony after surgery this summer.

Yep surgery this summer - tonsils and adenoids. Boo hiss -
that brings me to Dr appointment #2
After meeting an ENT (the 2nd one in 1 week) at Childrens Hospital for a second opinion it was determined Lia would need surgery. We are a lot more comfortable with Dr. El doing her surgery and his plan so we are scheduled for surgery in July.

Then comes Dr appointment #3
I think being in all those Dr offices in one week lead to an eye infection. A few days of eye drops and she's on the mend.

We were able to go to Grandmas over the weekend and celebrate Memorial Day

And hang out in Uncle Johnnys cool car

We ended the long weekend with a cookout at Oma and Opas house! Had a dance party on their patio with cousins and fell out of bed ....
... and bumped her head and eye!
NO Dr appointment nesscary - this time

Our Weekly Adventures

This week marked the last day of preschool, Mothers Day and some random things in between!

Mothers Day was relaxing and special. Lia planned what she wanted my "special day" to be like weeks in advance. Huh, wonder where she gets that from?
Lia wanted to get me flowers and go out to a fancy spaghetti dinner! So that's just what we did.
This was her face when the lemon cheesecake we ordered for dessert came
This week was also the last day of preschool - ever! Next year she is going to Kindergarten!

First day of school - Sept 2014
Last day of school May 2015
What a big change this school year was

Lia had an appointment with an ENT this week and it looks like adenoids and tonsils are coming out for this little one over summer break.

We are in the process of a kitchen makeover. And by we, I mean Jim - is doing all the work and Lia and I are helping clean!

Don't you clean wearing butterfly wings too?!

And just because messy morning hair is still cute when your 5 ....

Can't wait to see what adventures we get into next week!

To everything

turn, turn, turn
There is a season ... turn,turn,turn

And this season has been one of changes, challenges and a lot of growth for all of us!

This week our preschool season ends and we leave the comfort of our beloved little preschool and wonderful teachers. It's making us a little sad...
We are looking forward to summer!
A beach vacation, dance class, swimming pool days and a little break from IEP's, therapies and appointments.

We ended the school year with VIP night.
We had a spring music performance and art show.

And just because our girl LOVES to perform here are a few videos.

As one of the last school related projects for this year,
Lia got to bring home heart bear and we documented their adventure for her class to read about!

They watered flowers

Blew bubbles

And had a snack

It's been a great school year!
We will miss this school SO much.
We are looking forward to Lia's kindergarten adventure this fall.

Moms' Day Gift Exchange

I am so excited to be a part of another box swap.

This one was just for MOMS'.

Our hosts Courtney, Liz and Jenny thought it would be fun to celebrate moms'
and they were right.

I had the pleasure of shopping for Tara from A Tale of FOUR Maples
Hop on over to her blog to see what I found for this busy mom of 2 boys.

Whitney from Work-it-Mommy had me.
Whitney spent time on our blog and Instagram page and came up with a beautiful and thoughtful gift.

I love the framed Bible verse and polish she picked for me.
Jeremiah 29:11 is by far one of my favorite Bible verses.
If I ever find myself questioning something, just by saying the first line of this verse helps me keep things in perspective.
And because it IS Spring I can't wait to have this polish on my toes.

Thank you so much Whitney!

Girl Mom Exchange

It's May and April showers are bringing May flowers...and its beautiful.

This is another fun and busy month.
School is ending, dance will be starting, Mothers Day is coming up and we are getting ready for a beach vacation in June!

This month Lia and I participated in a few gift box exchanges.

The first one being a Girl Mom gift Exchange hosted by Jess from Being Mrs. Beer and Courtney from Shiraz In My Sippy Cup. Thanks to you both for hosting this fun exchange.

Take a look on IG too using #GirlMomBoxSwap

We had a blast shopping for Grace- a 2 1/2 year old Frozen fan. We sent her books, bubbles and a princess coloring book. Check out Graces' mom, Lizzie on IG to using the above #.

Jenny and Callie from The Chronicles of We had Lia. I have been following Jennys' blog and IG page for a while now and it was SO much fun having someone we "know" shop for us.

Lia LOVED everything!!
She loves getting "prizes" in the mail and this PRIZE was right up her alley.

Just look how happy that Barbie made her.

After each gift she just kept asking "Can I play with that now?"
I had to keep telling her "But wait there's more"

Once she was finished opening we had to get a picture of all of it
Sofia sock
Sofia Puzzle
Sofia stickers
Rocker Barbie Journal
A princess headband
A dry erase board
Sofia necklace and bracelet beads

These kept Lia entertained for HOURS.
I made dinner, cleaned the kitchen and ate before Lia even noticed I was gone.
Thank you SO MUCH Jenny and Callie for making this so special for Lia.

Lia was so excited she asked to take a few pictures of her prizes too.

Thanks Jess and Courtney again for hosting.

Happy May everyone.
