Festival Fun

A family tradition- St. Marys Festival and this year did not disappoint.

We had so much fun.
Lia met Father Lutz by saying- "Hey I like your dress"
Father taught her a new word - Cassock - not a dress!!!

Jim did his good deed by helping move a beautiful baby grand piano outside the church. All the while praying no one dropped it

Lia loved the piano
She danced

She sang

And she had the opportunity to play
She played the piano with Father

With her Opa

And then had her solo debut!

Thanks for the tip Opa!!

Father took requests so Lia requested a few of her favorites
Somewhere over the rainbow
Twinkle Twinkle
Deck the halls
And Jesus Christ has risen today

It was 6:30- time for the ham raffle and Opa won it - again!! It's so funny he wins almost every year. We'll be having a huge ham dinner sometime soon.

Lia headed back to the piano a time or two and the we headed to The Book Loft

It was a beautiful night and we had a great time.
However - we all missed Oma this year but next year we'll do it again and she'll be feeling better with her new hip and will walk circles around us all!!

  4. Aly, I don't even know where to begin with the things I love about this post! The dress comment?! The sunglasses? The piano playing? Lia's sweet smile? Love. It. All. :)

It always warms my heart to see how many people love your daughter and how many lives she is touching. What a special little girl.

  5. Do you find that you do things like this more often (and wonder why you didn't before) than before you had a child? O' course, I'm guessing that Lia makes many things more fun.

Looks like a fun time was had by all.
