Say cheese

This is so Lia!
Anytime we say "Smile and say cheese"
We get this:

Hahaha! She really gets into the "cheese" part. I think we may need a new word~ one not so easy to exaggerate!

Getting there

Well - that was quite a week!

A long croupy, coughy, no sleeping week.

But that's all behind us now.
Lia is feeling better. Slowly but surely we are getting back to normal.

There is still a lot if yucky coughing and sleeping all night is not quite there yet but at least Lia is in her own room again!
Pajama time comes a little earlier than it did a few weeks ago, as Lia gets worn out and wants to be comfy as soon as it gets dark BUT at least she is better!!!

We even ventured out for the first time in a week for dinner and a Target run!

And we are doing our normal day to day things like reading and tv/movie watching

This morning for breakfast Lia asked for bacon, eggs, waffles, fruit and apple juice

So greatful she is getting better!!!

This is how we do it!

Isn't this how all the cool kids wear their breathing treatment masks?

Breathing treatments are much more effective if you wear the mask on your face not your head, Lia dear.

Actually we are just glad she is not so afraid of the mask anymore!

Day 6 of this nasty virus.

Croup is not fun at all.

Just keep on keepin' on

It's been a rough 4 days.

Croup is anything but common. Each child is different and our little girl has had a rough go of it.

We have made 3 trips to our Doctors office. We've spent countless hours at Children's ER getting X-rays, breathing treatments and steroids!

What started as common croup has escalated to severe croup and steroids for 5 days, ibuprophen every 6 hours and at home breathing treatments. And trips outside for cold air therapy! We have never been so thankful for this snow and below freezing temperatures.

Did I mention very little sleep?! For anyone!
We'll just keep on keepin' on... Cuz we need to get this little girl better!
Please say a prayer for her . We could use all the help we can get. We are hoping to turn the corner tonight. 4 days of this is truly long enough.

PS: Happy Birthday to the best friend-husband and daddy in the world! We love you- croup and all

At least cuddling with daddy can make it all better - for a little bit anyway
The view out our back door

And out the front door

So it looks like a good weekend to stay in
and fight the good fight!

Is Winter over yet?
